Cancel guides

How to cancel any subscription

Plain, step-by-step guides for 101 popular subscriptions and memberships — on the web, on iPhone and on Android. Every guide follows the company’s own help page and links to it.

First, find out who bills you

You cancel where you pay. If you subscribed inside an iPhone or Android app and Apple or Google bills you, cancel there — deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription. Otherwise, cancel on the company’s own website. Not sure? Look for a receipt from Apple or Google, or check who the charge is from on your statement.

Billed by the company

Sign in on the company’s website, open your account or membership page, and use its cancel option. Pick your service below for the exact steps.

Billed by Apple

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Wally, your AI money agent

Or let Wally do it

Ask Wally to cancel a subscription — say, cancel my Netflix. For about 20 popular services, Wally starts right on the cancel page in its own browser; for other sites it works through the website in its live browser on a best-effort basis.

You sign in yourself — your password goes to the service, never to Wally. Then Wally checks your next statement to confirm the charge stopped.

Read-only — Wally never moves your money.
