How to cancel Spectrum
The fastest way
Sign in to your Spectrum account to view your cancellation options; for Spectrum Mobile, Spectrum’s Manage your lines page says to call (833) 224-6603. After you disconnect, return any leased equipment or an unreturned equipment fee may be charged.

Heads up: Spectrum’s help says to sign in to view your cancellation options but doesn’t describe the screens, and we couldn’t see inside an account. Its Mobile pages give two routes (sign in, or call), and its pages don’t say whether TV and Internet need a phone call.
Cancel online
- Sign in to your Spectrum account at spectrum.net.
- Open your cancellation options. Spectrum’s help says signing in is how you view them.
- Choose the service or Mobile line you want to end and follow what the page shows.
- Return any leased equipment afterward (see the equipment steps below).
Spectrum’s article doesn’t describe the screens after you sign in, so go by what your account shows. You can disconnect a Spectrum Mobile line at any time, according to the same article.
Cancel Spectrum Mobile by phone
- Call (833) 224-6603. Spectrum’s Manage your lines page gives this number for temporarily suspending or canceling Spectrum Mobile service.
- If you have a Device Payment Plan, check what happens to its balance before you close the account (see the notes below).
Spectrum’s contact page lists (833) 267-6094 for TV, Internet and Home Phone questions, and says you can also visit a store to talk with a Store Specialist.
Return your equipment after you cancel
- Bring your equipment to any Spectrum Store. At the end of your visit you get a receipt listing what you returned and the date.
- If there isn’t a Spectrum Store near you, take it to The UPS Store and tell the associate it is Spectrum equipment. Spectrum says to contact it before returning equipment through UPS, and to keep your receipt.
- If you can’t reach either, contact Spectrum to request a home shipment return kit, which includes a box with a return label and bubble wrap.
- Include the power supplies that came with your equipment. Fiber customers don’t return the SONU modem or the Universal Power Supply cord.
Spectrum Apple TV and Spectrum Mobile devices can’t be returned in a home shipment kit, and Hawaii has a different equipment return process.
Good to know before you cancel
- After you disconnect or downgrade, you’re responsible for returning leased equipment, including modems, routers, receivers and auxiliary equipment. If you don’t, Spectrum says an unreturned equipment fee may be charged to your account.
- Once your disconnect request is processed, Spectrum sends a final statement at the next billing cycle for outstanding charges such as International Calling or Pay-Per-View, and may send another if equipment is still unreturned.
- On a Mobile Device Payment Plan, disconnecting a line while you keep your Mobile account leaves that line’s plan unchanged. If you disconnect a line and close your Mobile account, the remaining balance is due on your next statement.
- Mobile customers who disconnect all their other Spectrum services no longer get a bundle discount on Spectrum Mobile.
- Your Spectrum email stays accessible for 60 days after you disconnect Internet. Voicemail and Spectrum TV app sign-in end on the date your services are disconnected.

Spectrum cancellation FAQ
Can I cancel Spectrum online or without calling?
Spectrum’s Change or Cancel article says to sign in to view your cancellation options, both under Discontinuing Service and for a Mobile line, but it doesn’t describe the screens. Spectrum’s Manage your lines page, though, says to call (833) 224-6603 to suspend or cancel Mobile service.
Is there a contract or early cancellation fee?
Spectrum’s Customer Commitment says it has no annual contracts for any of its residential services. Its cancel and after-disconnecting help articles don’t mention an early termination fee, though a Mobile Device Payment Plan balance can come due when you close the account and an unreturned equipment fee can apply.
Will I get a refund?
Spectrum’s Customer Commitment says that if you aren’t completely satisfied with any service in the first 30 days, it will give you your money back, and the window is 14 days for a new mobile device. Its cancel help doesn’t describe refunds for a cancellation later on, so check your final statement.
Can I pause instead of canceling?
Spectrum offers Seasonal status for part-time residents, which puts TV, Internet and/or Home Phone on hold for a low monthly fee without canceling and reinstalling; you contact Spectrum to set it up. For Mobile, the Manage your lines page says to call (833) 224-6603 to temporarily suspend service.
