Heads up: Orangetheory says its 30-day cancellation policy applies unless your Membership Agreement says otherwise, and studios are individually owned and operated, so your exact notice, fees and refund depend on your agreement and home studio.
Cancel with the online request form
- Open the Membership Cancellation page on orangetheory.com.
- Say whether you bought your membership online or in a local studio.
- When asked about keeping your membership active, choose the option that says you’d still like to cancel according to the terms of your membership agreement.
- Enter your name, phone number, the email address on your membership account, and your home studio.
- Submit the form.
The form says you will need access to the email address you enter to confirm it. Your home studio is the one where your monthly membership is charged.
Visit or contact your home studio
- Visit or contact your home studio.
- Ask to cancel your membership.
- Ask the studio about any billing or refund questions.
Orangetheory’s app FAQ says that to cancel your membership you will need to visit and/or contact your home studio. Its cancellation page says to contact your home studio for billing and refund questions.
Good to know before you cancel
- Deleting your Orangetheory app account does not cancel your membership.
- Your account must be active for a cancellation request to be processed. If your membership is frozen, reactivate it first.
- Any membership payment set to occur within 30 days after Orangetheory receives your request still occurs as scheduled.
- On a term membership, if you cancel during the Initial Term, any remaining payments due under the Initial Term are still charged as scheduled.
- You have 30 days from your last payment to use any unused sessions. Remaining sessions and promotional rates are forfeited.

Orangetheory Fitness cancellation FAQ
Will I get a refund?
Orangetheory’s cancellation page doesn’t state a general refund policy. It says to contact your home studio with any questions about billing and refunds.
When does my membership end?
Orangetheory says it offers a 30-day cancellation policy unless your Membership Agreement says otherwise, and that any payment set to occur within 30 days after it receives your request still occurs as scheduled. Its Memberships page also lists the plan as month-to-month with 30-day cancellation. For your exact end date, check your agreement or ask your home studio.
Can I freeze or downgrade instead of cancelling?
Orangetheory offers these as alternatives. It says all of its locations offer a freeze for a small amount in place of your monthly billing, which keeps your rate, and its Memberships page lists freeze privileges of up to 60 days, up to 2 times a year. It also says you can downgrade to a lower tier with fewer monthly sessions, or switch to class packages that don’t require a monthly commitment.
Does deleting the app cancel my membership?
No. Orangetheory’s app FAQ says deleting your mobile app account will not cancel your membership. You need to visit and/or contact your home studio to cancel.
