How to cancel Starz

The fastest way

If Starz bills you, log in at starz.com, open Settings, and under Billing Plan & Information select Cancel Subscription. If Amazon, Roku, Apple, Google or your TV provider bills you, cancel with them.

Cancel on the web

Go to starz.com and log in.
Select the user icon at the top right and choose Settings.
Under Billing Plan & Information, select Cancel Subscription.
Follow the on-screen steps and select Submit.

This is for subscriptions started on starz.com or in the Starz app. Starz emails you a confirmation.

Cancel in the Starz app

Open the Starz app and log in.
Tap More, then Settings, then Account Management.
Under My Subscription, select Cancel Subscription — this opens your phone’s browser.
Finish the steps and select Submit.

If Amazon bills you

Prime Video Channels: go to amazon.com/myvs, find Starz under Your Channels and cancel it.
Starz app on Fire TV or Kindle: go to amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions instead and cancel Starz there.

Prime Video Channels and the Amazon Appstore are separate kinds of subscription, each cancelled on its own page.

If Roku bills you

On the Roku home screen, highlight the Starz app and press the * (Options) button.
Select Manage Subscription, then Cancel Subscription.
Or sign in at roku.com, open your subscriptions, choose Starz and unsubscribe.

If your cable or satellite provider bills you

Contact your cable or satellite provider.
Ask them to remove Starz from your package.

Starz says each provider handles this differently.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Starz through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Open the Settings app and tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Starz through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
Select the subscription you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel subscription.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel the subscription.

Good to know before you cancel

If someone else bills you — Amazon, Roku, Apple, Google, a cable company — you have to cancel with them.
To avoid a charge after a free trial, cancel before midnight Eastern Time on the trial’s last day.
You keep Starz until the end of your current billing cycle.

Will I get a refund?

Generally no. Starz’s Terms of Use say cancelled subscriptions get no credit, refund or prorated billing unless the law requires it.

When do I lose access?

You keep Starz until the end of your current billing cycle.

How do I cancel a free trial?

The same way as a paid subscription — before midnight Eastern Time on the trial’s last day, so you aren’t charged.
