Cancel on the web

  1. Sign in to your Hulu Account page in a computer or phone browser.
  2. Select Cancel under Your Subscription.
  3. If you’re offered a pause and don’t want it, select Continue to Cancel.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription.
  5. Check that your Account page says the subscription will be cancelled, and keep the confirmation email.

Hulu gives these steps for a web browser, not the Hulu app. They also cover bundles Hulu bills you for — and Hulu says Amazon- and Roku-billed members can cancel here too.

If another company bills you

  1. On your Hulu Account page, check Payment Information to see who bills you.
  2. Follow that company’s cancel steps — Hulu lists Amazon, Apple, Comcast Xfinity, Disney, Google, Kroger, HBO Max, Optimum, Roku, Spotify, T-Mobile and Verizon.
  3. If Disney+ bills you for a bundle, cancel it from your Disney+ account page.

Hulu says people who pay through another company may need to contact that company directly.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Hulu through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Only existing Apple-billed members — new or returning subscribers can no longer pay through Apple. You keep access until the end of the billing cycle.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Hulu through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Only existing Google-billed members — new or returning subscribers can no longer pay through Google. You keep access until the end of the billing cycle.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Hulu + Live TV free trials end immediately when you cancel; other trials keep access until the trial ends, with no charge.
  • If you had Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+ or HBO Max before switching to a bundle, cancel each one separately — cancelling one doesn’t end the other.
  • Cancelling Hulu doesn’t delete your Hulu or Disney account.
  • If Hulu bills you, you may be able to pause for up to 12 weeks instead.

Hulu cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

Hulu says it may issue refunds in certain circumstances, at its sole discretion. A refund shows in Billing History on your Account page and can take 7 to 10 business days to reach your bank.

When does my access end?

You keep Hulu, or your bundle, until the end of the current billing cycle, and you won’t be charged again.

Can I cancel during a free trial?

Yes. You keep access for the rest of the trial and aren’t charged. Hulu + Live TV trials are the exception — they end immediately when you cancel.

Can I come back later?

Yes. You can sign up again with the same login.
