How to cancel Rogers
The fastest way
In Canada, Rogers says you cancel by calling it: its help says it needs to speak with you directly to process a cancellation, and its Terms of Service give 1 888 ROGERS1 (1 888 764-3771), or *611 from a Rogers mobile phone. Cancellation takes effect on the day Rogers gets your notice, or a later date you give.

Cancel by phone
- Decide whether you want the cancellation to start right away or on a later date.
- Call 1 888 ROGERS1 (1 888 764-3771), or call *611 from a Rogers mobile phone. Rogers says *611 is a free call.
- Tell the agent which services you want to cancel. Rogers says an agent will review your account, discuss plan options and offer a solution.
- Ask how to return any rental equipment. Rogers says to contact it before sending equipment back.
Rogers’ cancel article has separate Contact us links for Rogers accounts and for Rogers Together With Shaw accounts.
Good to know before you cancel
- Rogers says charges such as unreturned equipment and early cancellation fees may apply when your service is disconnected. Its Terms of Service say that if you cancel a Term Service before its Term ends, you pay the early cancellation fee set out in that service agreement.
- Rogers says you have 30 days to return rental equipment after the work order is completed or you’ll be charged. Retail stores and technicians don’t accept returns, so you send it back with the FedEx waybill Rogers provides.
- Rogers says a one-time Return Shipping Fee of $29 plus tax applies if you cancel all your residential services and return equipment with a Rogers shipping label. It doesn’t apply to residents of Quebec and Nova Scotia.
- If you cancel only an add-on, the Terms of Service say the cancellation takes effect on your next billing date for that add-on, and its charges continue until then.
- Cancelling your mobile service means losing any remaining trade bonus credits and financing promo credits, according to Rogers’ financing help.

Rogers cancellation FAQ
Can I cancel Rogers online or without calling?
Rogers’ cancel article says it needs to speak with you directly to process a cancellation, and its Terms of Service say you cancel any or all Services by calling. The Terms list live chat at rogers.com/contactus among the ways to contact Rogers, but they don’t say a cancellation can be completed there.
When does the cancellation take effect, and will I get a refund?
The Terms of Service say cancellation takes effect on the day Rogers receives notice, or a future date in your notice, whichever is later, and charges continue until then. If your final bill leaves a credit balance, most are refunded to your card on file or by cheque, and for balances under or over a specified amount you must contact Rogers. The CRTC’s Internet Code also says an Internet provider must cancel service on the day you request, and that Internet fees billed in advance must be refunded pro-rata for the days left in the billing cycle.
What happens to my financed phone if I cancel mobile service?
Rogers says your financing agreement is cancelled and the outstanding financing balance is charged if you cancel the wireless service for the financed device. You can check that balance in MyRogers, under Usage Services, then Wireless Usage.
Can I pause instead, or come back later?
Rogers’ help on pausing, which sits in its Shaw account-management section, says you can suspend Internet, TV or home phone for 30 to 180 days by contacting Rogers: Internet costs $10 a month, TV and phone are free, and rental fees may continue. For a recent cancellation, Rogers says to contact an advisor and they’ll help you switch back.
