Cancel on the Everand website

  1. Sign in to your account on the Everand website.
  2. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Your account.
  4. In the Subscription section, select Cancel next to Cancel subscription.
  5. On the Cancel or change subscription page, select Cancel subscription.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete cancellation.

Everand says you’ll get an email confirming your cancellation. The Cancel option sits at the bottom of the Subscription section, below Pause subscription.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Everand through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Everand says that if you signed up through Apple, you have to cancel through your Apple account, because canceling on the Everand website won’t stop those charges. Look for your Everand or Scribd subscription, which may appear as either.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Everand through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Everand says to cancel directly in Google Play if you signed up there. Look for your Everand or Scribd subscription, which may appear as either. A refund through Google Play also cancels your subscription.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Everand, Scribd and Slideshare are separate subscriptions. If you subscribed to Scribd or Slideshare, Everand has a different article for canceling those.
  • Canceling a free trial ends your access immediately. A trial renews into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • Unused unlocks expire with your subscription, and the books you unlocked are locked until you resubscribe with the same email.
  • If you’re on a Legacy plan, canceling means the plan is gone for good and you lose bundled access to Scribd and Slideshare. Pausing keeps everything as it is.
  • Canceling on the Everand website doesn’t stop charges from Apple or Google Play.

Everand cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

Canceling doesn’t reverse a payment that already went through. Everand says it considers refunds for charges from the last 30 days for technical issues, defective content, fraud, payment errors or unused subscription time. It doesn’t offer partial refunds, and generally won’t refund a billing period you used. For website subscriptions you ask its virtual assistant. For Apple or Google Play purchases you ask Apple or Google.

When does my access end after I cancel?

Everand says you keep full access until your current billing period ends, and you won’t be charged again unless you resubscribe. On a free trial, access ends the moment you cancel.

Can I pause instead of canceling?

Yes, if you signed up on the Everand website. Everand says you can pause for 1 to 12 weeks from Your account, which freezes billing and keeps your unlocked books and unused unlocks. Pausing isn’t available during a free trial or for App Store or Google Play subscriptions.

I canceled on the website but I’m still being charged. Why?

Everand says the charge is probably coming from Apple or Google rather than from Everand. Check your Apple or Google account for an Everand or Scribd subscription and cancel it there. If charges continue after that, Everand says to start a conversation with its virtual assistant.
