  2. Go to the Amazon Music Unlimited section.

These steps are for plans you signed up for through Amazon. If your plan is eligible, Amazon says you can pause your monthly subscription instead of canceling.

Cancel with Alexa

  1. Use an Amazon Echo or another Alexa-enabled device.
  2. Say: “Alexa, cancel my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.”

Amazon says this works if you signed up through Amazon.

If a mobile service provider bills you

  1. Check whether you signed up through Amazon or through a mobile service provider.
  2. If a mobile service provider bills you, contact them to cancel or request a refund.

Amazon says the provider’s cancellation and refund policies apply.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Good to know before you cancel

  • If your plan is eligible, you can pause instead. The pause takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, and your subscription resumes automatically, or you can resume any time from Your Amazon Music Settings.
  • You can’t pause an annual plan, a free trial, a promotion, or a plan from the Apple App Store, Google Play or a mobile service provider.
  • After your plan ends, the app grays out your Amazon Music Unlimited songs and podcasts in your Library and removes the Playback option.
  • Individual Plan subscribers and Family Plan account holders who pause or cancel lose access to their selected audiobook when their current billing cycle ends.

Amazon Music Unlimited cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

Not for a plan you signed up for through Amazon. Amazon Music’s Terms of Use say payment is non-refundable even if you didn’t use the services, and that canceling doesn’t refund fees you already paid. If Apple, Google Play or a mobile provider bills you, Amazon says to contact them for any refund.

When does my access end after I cancel?

Amazon says you can use Amazon Music Unlimited until your plan ends. Its Terms of Use say canceling takes effect at the end of the plan’s term.

Can I cancel with Alexa?

Yes, if you signed up through Amazon. Amazon says you can ask an Echo or other Alexa-enabled device: “Alexa, cancel my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.”

I signed up through Apple, Google Play or my phone provider. Can Amazon cancel it?

No. Amazon says to contact Apple, Google Play or your mobile service provider to cancel or request a refund, and their cancellation and refund policies apply.
