Cancel on the web

  1. Sign in at audible.com with the account that has the membership.
  2. Select your name at the top of the page.
  3. Select Membership details.
  4. Select Cancel membership.
  5. Select Confirm cancellation. Audible emails you a confirmation.

On a phone’s browser, open the main menu first, then follow the same steps. No cancel option? You may be signed in to a different Audible account — try your other email addresses.

Cancel with Audible customer service

  1. Open Audible’s Contact us page (audible.com/contactus).
  2. Choose to call or chat with customer service.
  3. Ask them to cancel your membership.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Audible through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Audible can’t cancel an Apple-billed membership on its website — cancel it in your Apple subscriptions. Wait for that cancellation to finish before you rejoin directly with Audible.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Audible through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Audible can’t cancel a Google Play-billed membership on its website — cancel it in Google Play.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Unused credits are lost when your membership ends, so spend them before you cancel.
  • Audiobooks you bought with credits or a card stay in your Library and can be downloaded again.
  • Titles from the included catalog lock until you rejoin or buy them.
  • Deleting the Audible app doesn’t cancel your membership.

Audible cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

No. Audible’s Conditions of Use say that if you cancel, fees you’ve already paid aren’t refunded.

Do I keep the audiobooks I bought?

Yes. Titles you bought with a credit or a card are yours to keep and download again. Included-catalog titles lock until you rejoin or buy them.

Can I cancel during the free trial?

Yes. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won’t move to a paid membership.

Can I pause instead of cancelling?

Monthly members can pause for up to 90 days in total every 12 months. Annual plans can’t be paused.
