Cancel on the Fubo website

  1. Sign in at fubo.tv with your Fubo email and password.
  2. Select a profile from the Who’s Watching? screen.
  3. Click the settings icon, then select My Account.
  4. Select Subscription, scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Cancel.
  5. If you’re offered a discount to stay, your subscription isn’t canceled yet. Click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION to go ahead.
  6. When the confirmation page appears, click OK.

These steps are for subscriptions you started on the Fubo website, including free trials. Fubo says you must complete all steps before your subscription is cancelled.

If you subscribed through Roku (online)

  1. Go to my.roku.com and sign in.
  2. Open your subscriptions and click Unsubscribe next to your Fubo plan.
  3. Confirm by selecting Yes, Unsubscribe.

Fubo says a Roku-billed subscription renews monthly and is managed through your Roku subscription. You’ll see an option to renew until the current service period ends.

If you subscribed through Roku (on your Roku device)

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote and highlight the Fubo app in the channel grid.
  2. Press the Star button to open the options menu, then select Manage subscription.
  3. Select Cancel subscription, then confirm by selecting Cancel subscription again.
  4. Select Done when the confirmation message appears.

Fubo’s article says the confirmation shows the date you will no longer have access to Fubo.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Fubo through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Fubo’s cancellation article only covers subscriptions started on the Fubo website or through Roku. If something else bills you, such as the App Store, cancel with that company.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Fubo through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Fubo says you must complete all the cancellation steps. An offer to stay at a discount can appear first, and your subscription isn’t canceled until you click CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION.
  • If you cancel a free trial you started on the Fubo website, the trial expires immediately and you won’t be given another free trial. A Roku free trial instead runs to the end of the trial, according to Fubo’s cancellation policy.
  • If you canceled after Fubo already billed you, you’re still charged for the full billing period, because a paid cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Most Fubo plans have no cancellation fee, but a promotional offer with a commitment period may charge an early cancellation fee if you cancel before that period ends.
  • Not sure who bills you? Sign in at fubo.tv/subscription. A subscription started through Roku says Roku Subscription, and you cancel it with Roku instead.

Fubo cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

Fubo says it doesn’t provide refunds for prepaid or partial months of service. If you cancel a paid subscription, you keep service until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.

When does my access end?

For a paid Fubo subscription, access continues until the end of your current billing period. For a free trial started on the Fubo website, it ends immediately when you cancel. For a free trial started through Roku, it ends at the end of the trial.

Can I pause Fubo instead of cancelling?

Fubo says it doesn’t offer the ability to pause or suspend subscriptions. You can cancel, keep access through the period you’ve paid for, and reactivate your subscription when you’re ready to come back.

Why was I charged after I cancelled?

Fubo lists a few common causes: the cancellation steps weren’t completed, you canceled after being billed for the period, you have a second Fubo account under another email, or you cancel through a third party such as Roku and haven’t done so there. Check your subscription status in your Fubo account, then contact Fubo Support if charges continue.
