Cancel in the Coursera mobile app
- Log in to the Coursera mobile app.
- Tap the settings gear icon in the top right.
- Tap My Subscriptions.
- Next to the subscription you want to cancel, tap Manage Subscription.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
If you subscribed to Coursera through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Open the Settings app and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.
Coursera says a subscription started in its mobile app is an in-app subscription managed through Apple or Google Play, so you won’t see the option to cancel on Coursera.org.

Good to know before you cancel
- Specialization and Professional Certificate subscriptions end automatically once you complete all the included content, so you don’t need to cancel them then. Coursera says Coursera Plus subscriptions don’t auto-cancel.
- Most monthly subscriptions start with a free trial of 1 or 7 days. Cancel within the trial period and you won’t be charged. After it ends, Coursera automatically charges you for the first month.
- Coursera says that when you cancel, you lose access to the included content after your current payment period ends, and your course access switches to preview mode.
- Your progress and grades are saved when you cancel, and certificates you earned stay in your Certificates tab.
- Coursera says it isn’t currently possible to pause a subscription.

Coursera cancellation FAQ
Will I get a refund?
Coursera says cancelling won’t refund past payments but will stop all future payments. A Coursera Plus annual subscription has a 14-day money-back guarantee, so you can get a refund if you cancel within 14 days of your original payment. Coursera says you’re not eligible for a refund once a free trial period ends.
When does my access end?
Coursera says you lose access to the included content after your current payment period ends. After that, your course access switches to preview mode.
I subscribed in the mobile app. How do I cancel?
Coursera says an in-app subscription is managed through Apple or Google Play, and you won’t see a cancel option on Coursera.org. Cancel it with the store you paid through.
Can I come back later?
Yes. Coursera says all your course progress is saved, including grades. You can upgrade to the paid version of a course to start a new subscription and pick up where you left off.
