How to cancel Skillshare

The fastest way

Go to Account settings on skillshare.com, select Membership & Payments, click Cancel membership and follow the prompts. Skillshare says your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period.

Cancel on the website (desktop)

Go to Account settings on skillshare.com.
Select Membership & Payments from the left menu.
Click Cancel membership.
Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.

Skillshare gives these steps if you signed up on skillshare.com.

Cancel from your phone’s browser

Open skillshare.com in your mobile browser and sign in.
Tap your profile icon.
Select Account settings, then tap Membership & Payments.
Tap Cancel membership, then follow the prompts.

Skillshare says to use your browser, not the app, to cancel from a phone.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Skillshare through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Open the Settings app and tap your name.
Tap Subscriptions.
Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Skillshare says that if you subscribed through the iOS App Store, Apple manages your billing and you must cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Skillshare can’t cancel or refund subscriptions bought through Apple.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Skillshare through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
Select the subscription you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel subscription.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Skillshare says that if you subscribed through Google Play, Google manages your billing and you must cancel through your Google Play account settings. Skillshare can’t cancel or refund subscriptions bought through Google Play.

Good to know before you cancel

Uninstalling or deleting the Skillshare app doesn’t cancel your subscription. Skillshare says that if you uninstall the app without canceling, you’ll still be charged.
If you started with a free trial on skillshare.com, cancel through Account settings before the trial ends. Skillshare charges your payment method at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
For annual subscriptions, Skillshare sends a renewal reminder email about 30 days before the renewal date. You can cancel any time before renewal to avoid the charge.
When your billing period ends, you lose access to classes and to downloadable materials shared by teachers.
If your access comes through a Skillshare for Teams plan, cancellation terms depend on your organization’s agreement. Skillshare says to contact your administrator or teamhelp@skillshare.com.

Skillshare cancellation FAQ

Will I get a refund?

Usually not. Skillshare says canceling stops future billing but doesn’t automatically issue a refund, and it doesn’t refund renewals. For a 7-day free trial, you can contact Support within 48 hours of the charge for a one-time refund, as long as you haven’t used Skillshare since. Charges after a 14-day or longer trial aren’t eligible.

When does my access end?

Skillshare says your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. Until then you can still watch classes, update your class projects and take part in class discussions.

I subscribed through the app. Can Skillshare cancel it?

No. Skillshare says it can’t manage, cancel or refund subscriptions bought through Apple or Google Play. Cancel in your app store, and ask Apple Support or Google Play Support about billing or refunds.

Can I come back later?

Yes. Skillshare says you can rejoin anytime to continue learning and creating.
