How to cancel Hinge
The fastest way
Cancel where you subscribed. On iPhone, open your Apple subscriptions, tap Hinge, then Cancel Subscription. If you paid with Hinge payment, open the Hinge app, tap the gear icon, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Cancel in the Hinge app (Hinge payment)
- Open the Hinge app.
- Tap the gear icon to open Account Settings.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
Hinge lists these steps for iPhone users who subscribed with Hinge payment (powered by Stripe). Hinge says Hinge payment is currently limited to the US.
If you paid with Hinge payment and no longer have the app
- Follow the cancellation steps provided through Stripe, Hinge’s secure billing partner.
- Use the email address where you receive Hinge subscription emails, even if it’s different from the email linked to your Hinge account.
Hinge says you can cancel at any time this way.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
If you subscribed to Hinge through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Open the Settings app and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.
Hinge says that if you subscribed using the App Store or your Apple ID, you cancel through Apple, and Hinge can’t issue refunds for iOS purchases because Apple handles them.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)
If you subscribed to Hinge through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.
- On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Hinge says that on Android you cancel in Google Play, and that Google manages refund requests for purchases made through Google Play.

Good to know before you cancel
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing period. Hinge says Apple, Google and Hinge payment (Stripe) require this and it can’t be changed.
- If you subscribed through the App Store, your Apple ID or Google Play, deleting the Hinge app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- If you paid with Hinge payment, deleting the app does not cancel your subscription, but deleting your Hinge account cancels it immediately and you permanently lose any remaining subscription benefits.
- Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed: Apple, Google Play, or Hinge payment (powered by Stripe).

Hinge cancellation FAQ
Will I get a refund?
Usually not. Hinge says most purchases are nonrefundable, with some exceptions, and its Terms say there are no refunds or credits for partially used or unused subscription periods except where the law provides them. For a subscription bought in the last 14 days, Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases and Google handles Google Play purchases. If you paid with Hinge payment, contact Hinge Support. In Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin, Hinge says you can request a full refund within 3 business days of subscribing; if you paid with Hinge payment or on Android, that request has to be in writing. Purchases of virtual items such as a Rose or Boost are final and nonrefundable.
When does my Hinge access end?
At the end of your subscription period. Hinge’s Terms say that if you cancel, you keep your subscription benefits until then, and the subscription expires after that.
Can I switch from HingeX to Hinge+ instead of cancelling?
Not directly. Hinge says that to downgrade from HingeX to Hinge+, you cancel your HingeX subscription first, then subscribe to Hinge+. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid charges.
I subscribed through Apple or Google Play. Where do I cancel?
Hinge’s help sends you to the platform that bills you. For an App Store or Apple ID subscription, open your Apple Subscriptions page, tap Hinge, then tap Cancel Subscription. On Android, open your Google Play Subscriptions page, tap Hinge, then tap Cancel Subscription and follow the instructions.
