Cancel on Sling’s website
- Sign in to your Sling account.
- Select Manage.
- Select Cancel.
- Watch for the email Sling sends to confirm your cancellation.
Sling’s Terms of Use also allow cancelling by chatting with a Customer Service agent, and say cancellation requests are not accepted by email.
If a third party such as Amazon or Roku bills you
- Sign in to your account with the company that bills you for Sling.
- Find your Sling subscription there and cancel it.
Sling’s Terms of Use say that if you pay through a third party such as Amazon or Roku, you may need to cancel through your account with them. Sling’s help center doesn’t list step-by-step instructions for this.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)
If you subscribed to Sling TV through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Open the Settings app and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.
Sling’s help doesn’t describe subscribing through the App Store. It lists Apple Pay only as a way to pay for a Sling account.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)
If you subscribed to Sling TV through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.
- On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
- Select the subscription you want to cancel.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Sling’s help doesn’t describe subscribing through Google Play. It lists Google Pay only as a way to pay for a Sling account.

Good to know before you cancel
- Sling is paid upfront, so cancelling doesn’t end service right away. Access continues until the date of your next regular bill.
- Deleting the Sling app doesn’t cancel your subscription. You still need to sign in to your account and cancel.
- If you took a promotion that required you to prepay for a minimum period, such as 3 months, Sling’s Terms say your cancellation won’t take effect until that period ends.
- Recordings you made with a Sling subscription become unavailable when you cancel. Sling says it saves them for 90 days in case you resubscribe.

Sling TV cancellation FAQ
Will I get a refund?
Usually not. Sling’s help says it only provides refunds for special circumstances, not for cancelling prepaid or partial months of service. Its Terms of Use add that refunds are not issued for a partial billing period.
When does my access end?
Sling says you keep service until the end of your current billing cycle, which is the date of your next regular bill. To come back later, sign in, select Restart, confirm your choices, then select Resubscribe.
Can I pause instead of cancelling?
Sometimes. Sling says to select Manage, then See pause options. A standard pause can last up to 6 months, and Pause Extra is available for 1, 2 or 3 months for a $5 monthly deposit. Sling says pause isn’t available with promotions such as prepay bundles or free trials, with gift-card-only or BitPay payment, or with third-party billing.
I cancelled but I’m still being charged. What now?
Sling says to sign in and check that the account is actually cancelled. A cancelled account shows no active subscriptions, and one that still has paid time left is labeled Expiring soon. Also check that you don’t have a second Sling account under another email address.
