How to cancel GoodLife Fitness
The fastest way
In Canada, log in to GoodLife’s Member Portal, select My Account and look under My Membership; GoodLife says only certain membership types can cancel there. Otherwise speak with an Associate at the front desk of any GoodLife gym, and GoodLife asks for 30 days’ notice.

Cancel online in the Member Portal
- Log in to the GoodLife Member Portal on goodlifefitness.com.
- Select My Account.
- Look under My Membership for the option to cancel.
GoodLife says you’ll see the option only if you’re eligible to cancel online, and that only certain membership types are. If you’ve never logged in, GoodLife says to select Forgot My Password and enter the email on your account to get a link to create a password.
Cancel with Member Chat if you can’t go to a gym
- Log in to the GoodLife website and select My Account.
- Select the chat bubble at the bottom right of your screen to open Member Chat.
- Ask the Member Support Team to cancel your membership.
GoodLife says to use Member Chat if you cannot go to a gym.
Cancel at a GoodLife gym
- Go to the front desk at any GoodLife location.
- Speak with an Associate and ask to cancel your membership.
GoodLife says this is the route if you aren’t eligible to cancel online. Its Contact Us page also says you can call your local GoodLife gym to speak with an Associate about membership changes, but it doesn’t say a cancellation can be completed by phone.
Good to know before you cancel
- GoodLife asks for 30 days’ notice. Depending on how much notice you give and your next payment date, you may have to make more payments before your account is closed.
- GoodLife says some membership types may not be eligible for cancellation or may include a cancellation fee.
- Each member cancels their own membership. GoodLife says the Primary member on a family account can’t cancel for a family member, but can remove their own billing information from a family membership with 30 days’ notice.
- Freezing your payments is an alternative if your membership type allows it, but you can’t use GoodLife’s gyms, On-Demand workouts or app while frozen.

GoodLife Fitness cancellation FAQ
Can I cancel GoodLife online or without going to the gym?
Yes, if your membership type is eligible. GoodLife says members with certain membership types can cancel by logging in to the Member Portal and looking under My Account, then My Membership. If you can’t cancel online and can’t get to a gym, it says to use Member Chat to reach its Member Support Team.
Will I get a refund?
GoodLife says that after you buy a membership, you have a 10-day window to cancel and receive a full refund. Its FAQ doesn’t state a refund policy after that, and says you may have to make further payments before your account is closed, depending on your notice and next payment date.
Can I freeze my membership instead of cancelling?
Yes, for some membership types. GoodLife says members with certain membership types can request a freeze in the Member Portal under My Account, then My Membership. Each freeze must run at least 4 weeks and at most 26 weeks, and GoodLife says to submit it at least 5 business days before your next payment. Some membership types can’t freeze or may pay a freeze fee.
I’m moving. Do I have to cancel?
Not necessarily. If you are moving to a new town or city, GoodLife says to use Member Chat to ask its Member Support Team about your options. It also says memberships can’t be transferred from one person to another.
