How to cancel Grubhub+

Cancel in the app (iOS or Android)

  1. Log in to your account and tap the Account icon.
  2. Go to the Grubhub+ membership menu option.
  3. Select Manage Membership.
  4. Tap Cancel membership, then confirm Cancel membership.

Cancel on the web

  1. Go to grubhub.com or seamless.com and log in to your account.
  2. Click the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Go to the Grubhub+ menu option.
  4. Click Cancel membership, then confirm Cancel membership.

If your Grubhub+ comes with Amazon Prime

  1. On Amazon, go to Your Account and open Manage apps & services with data access.
  2. Unlink your Grubhub and Amazon accounts.
  3. If you don’t see Grubhub there, go to your Amazon Pay Consents, find Grubhub Holdings Inc., select Details, then Stop Sharing.
  4. You can also contact Grubhub customer support to help cancel.

Amazon’s help says your Grubhub+ membership and benefits end immediately if you cancel this way.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Grubhub+ through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Don't see Grubhub+ there? Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account that was charged. If you have no receipt from Apple for it, another company bills you — use the steps above.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Grubhub+ through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel the subscription.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your next scheduled payment. Grubhub’s example: if your next renewal is January 1, cancel by 11:59:59 PM ET on December 31.
  • A free trial or promotional offer converts to a paid membership when it ends. Cancel before the offer expires to avoid the charge.
  • To dispute an unauthorized Grubhub+ charge, Grubhub says to contact it within 60 days of the charge.
  • The free Grubhub+ that comes with Amazon Prime ends if your Prime membership ends, and it doesn’t turn into a paid plan on its own.

Will I get a refund?

Generally no. Grubhub’s terms say that, subject to applicable laws, members aren’t eligible for refunds on Grubhub+ charges or credits for partly used periods, unless Grubhub decides otherwise at its sole discretion. For a question or dispute about a charge, contact Grubhub Customer Care.

When does my Grubhub+ end after I cancel?

Grubhub says you can keep enjoying Membership Offers through the end of your then-current membership period, though Special Offers may end sooner. If you cancel during a promotional or free trial period, some or all Membership Offers may end immediately.

How far ahead of my renewal do I need to cancel?

At least 24 hours before the next scheduled payment, according to Grubhub’s terms.

Does cancelling Amazon Prime cancel my Grubhub+?

Yes, if your Grubhub+ came free with Prime. Grubhub’s terms say cancelling or ending Prime ends that Grubhub+ membership. If you pause Prime, it’s deactivated, and after you resume Prime you need to visit amazon.com/grubhub to reactivate it.
