How to cancel Crave

The fastest way

Crave is intended for use in Canada. If you subscribed directly, sign in at crave.ca, open Account, select Subscriptions, then Cancel Plan and follow the steps; you keep watching until the end of your current billing period. If Amazon, Bell, Rogers or an app store bills you, cancel with them instead.

Cancel on crave.ca (subscribed directly)

  1. Sign in to your account on crave.ca.
  2. Select the user icon in the top right corner of the home page, then select Account.
  3. Select Subscriptions.
  4. Under your subscription, select Cancel Plan.
  5. Follow the steps until you reach the confirmation page.

Crave says cancelling your Crave subscription also cancels any add-on subscriptions. Its Terms and Conditions also say you can cancel online by signing in at account.bellmedia.ca.

Cancel only an add-on

  1. Sign in to your account on crave.ca.
  2. Select the user icon in the top right corner, then Account, then Subscriptions.
  3. Under the add-on, select Cancel Add-On.
  4. Follow the steps until you reach the confirmation page.

Crave says cancelling an add-on won’t cancel your Crave subscription, and you’ll continue to be billed for Crave.

If a TV provider, mobile provider, Roku or Disney+ bills you

  1. TV provider, Bell Mobility or Virgin Mobile: contact that provider directly to cancel your Crave subscription.
  2. Roku: sign in to your Roku account and cancel the subscription under Manage Your Subscriptions. Roku’s own help says to go to my.roku.com, open Manage your subscriptions, select the subscription, then select Manage subscription and Turn off auto-renew.
  3. Disney+: Crave plans bought through Disney+ are billed by Disney+, so sign in to your Disney+ account and manage your subscription from your account settings.
  4. Amazon Prime Video Channels, Bell Streaming and Rogers have their own steps below.

Crave says that if you had a direct Crave subscription before switching to one of these, it won’t cancel automatically. Cancel it manually to avoid being billed twice.

If Amazon bills you (Prime Video Channels)

  1. On Prime Video, go to Account & Settings and select Subscriptions from the top menu.
  2. Find the Crave subscription.
  3. Select Unsubscribe and confirm. Prime Video says this option may also appear as withdraw.

Crave says to cancel in your Prime Video Channels settings. Prime Video says your subscription end date shows on the confirmation screen and you can reverse the cancellation until that date. It also says cancelling doesn’t generate a refund for any previous subscription charges.

If Bell Streaming bills you through MyBell

  1. Log in to MyBell.
  2. Select My services, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage subscriptions.
  4. Select the Crave subscription, then select Cancel subscription.
  5. Select Yes, cancel subscription.
  6. Review the details of your cancellation, then select Confirm cancellation.

Bell says Crave access continues until the end of your scheduled renewal period. After that date your Crave account isn’t deleted, but Crave is no longer billed through Bell, so to keep watching you must resubscribe directly through Crave.

If Rogers bills you

  1. MyRogers (Shaw) accounts: sign in and go to Channel Add-ons.
  2. Choose the Crave channel. Rogers lists it there as Crave On Demand.
  3. Select Unsubscribe.
  4. Select Close when the confirmation message appears.
  5. Other Rogers accounts: Rogers’ Crave help only explains how to add Crave, so contact Rogers to cancel, as Crave says to do with any TV provider.

Rogers says channels must stay on your account for at least 30 days before they can be removed, and that charges stop from the removal date. Its page for adding Crave to a MyRogers account (not MyRogers (Shaw)) describes only adding it, under Usage & Services, then TV, then Manage channels or Manage theme packs.

If you have a bundle that includes Crave

  1. Visit your account at account.bellmedia.ca.
  2. Select Subscriptions.
  3. Select Manage next to your bundle.
  4. From the Manage Plan page, select Change or Cancel Plan.
  5. To cancel the whole bundle, select Cancel Plan under your bundle. To keep one plan, select the standalone monthly plan you want to keep.
  6. Follow the steps until you see the confirmation page.

These steps come from TSN’s FAQ for bundles of Crave, TSN and RDS. It repeats that cancelling your Crave subscription also cancels your add-on subscriptions.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad (billed by Apple)

If you subscribed to Crave through the App Store, Apple bills you, so you cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

  1. Open the Settings app and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there's no cancel button, or you see red expiration text, it's already cancelled.

Crave says an Apple-billed subscription must be managed and cancelled through your Apple Subscriptions, using an iOS device or a computer signed in to your Apple account.

Cancel on Android (billed by Google Play)

If you subscribed to Crave through Google Play, cancel it in Google Play.

  1. On your Android device, open your subscriptions in Google Play.
  2. Select the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Tap Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Good to know before you cancel

  • Crave is a prepaid service, so cancelling doesn’t remove access right away. You keep watching until the end of your current billing period.
  • To avoid being charged again, cancel before your renewal date. If your renewal is on the 15th, Crave says to cancel by the 14th. The same applies to annual plans.
  • There’s no option to pause a Crave subscription. Crave says you can cancel at any time instead.
  • Cancelling Crave also cancels any add-ons, but cancelling only an add-on leaves your Crave subscription and its billing in place.
  • If you only want to pay less, Crave says you can downgrade a standalone plan in your account, for example Crave Premium to Crave Standard With Ads. The change takes effect at your next billing date, with no prorated refund.

Crave cancellation FAQ

Can I cancel Crave online or without calling?

Yes, if you subscribed directly. Crave’s help gives the steps on crave.ca, and its Terms say you may cancel your recurring subscription online by signing in to your account through the Service website or at account.bellmedia.ca. If an app store, TV provider or another company bills you, Crave says to cancel through that provider. Amazon and Bell have online steps above, and so do MyRogers (Shaw) accounts.

Will I get a refund?

No. Crave’s Terms and Conditions say all subscription fees are non-refundable, and that after you cancel you keep access through the end of your current billing period. If you subscribed through another provider, the Terms say to check that provider’s terms for credits or refunds. Amazon’s Prime Video help adds that cancelling a Prime Video subscription doesn’t generate a refund for previous charges.

When does my access end?

At the end of your current billing period. Crave gives this example: if your renewal date is the 15th and you cancel on the 30th, you keep access until the next 15th, when the subscription ends.

Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Crave says monthly, multi-month and annual plans renew automatically at the end of the billing cycle. Quebec residents who buy directly on Crave.ca have multi-month or annual plans renew month to month instead.

How do I find my renewal date?

Sign in at crave.ca, select the profile icon in the top right corner, then Account. Under Subscriptions, Crave says you’ll see your active plan, the date of your next payment and the upcoming charge amount.
